About these terms

These terms apply to your use of https://mist.zonova.lk and to stays at Zonova Mist Guest House, 41/1, Mihindupura, Mipilimana, Nuwara Eliya. By sending a booking enquiry you accept them. Questions go to mist@zonova.lk.

An enquiry is not a booking

The form on our contact page sends us a request, not a reservation. Your dates are only held once we have replied to confirm availability and agreed the booking with you directly. Until then the room remains available to others.

If you booked through Booking.com or Airbnb instead, that platform's booking, payment and cancellation terms govern your stay, and they take precedence over anything here that conflicts with them.

Rates

Rates shown on this site are per night and quoted in Sri Lankan rupees (6 Pax Room at LKR 5,000, Whole House at LKR 18,000). They are indicative: the rate for your stay is the one we confirm to you in writing when we accept your booking. Rates can change at any time before that point, and may vary with season, group size and length of stay.

Payment and cancellation

We ask for an advance payment to hold your dates. If you cancel more than three days before your arrival date, that payment is refunded in full. We confirm the amount and the payment details when we accept your booking.

You can pay by cash in Sri Lankan rupees on arrival, bank transfer, card, or a mobile payment app.

Where you booked through Booking.com or Airbnb, that platform's payment and cancellation policy applies instead of this one.

Arrival and departure

• Check-in 3 PM to 9 PM. Check-out before 11 AM.
• Check-in is arranged directly with us on arrival, so please tell us your expected time. We will do our best to accommodate an early arrival or late departure, but neither is guaranteed.
• Quiet hours are 11 PM to 6 AM, out of consideration for other guests and our neighbours.

Using the house

• Please do not exceed the number of guests we confirmed. Extra guests must be agreed with us in advance.
• The kitchen and BBQ are free to use. We ask that you clean the equipment before and after use, and use the BBQ safely and only outdoors.
• Bathrooms in the shared rooms are shared with other guests. A little consideration during busy mornings and evenings goes a long way.
• Pets are welcome, but only when arranged with us before you arrive.
• Please treat the house, its garden and its equipment with care. You are responsible for damage or loss caused by you or your party beyond ordinary wear, and we may ask you to cover the cost of putting it right.
• We may ask guests to leave, without refund, for behaviour that endangers or seriously disturbs other guests, our staff or our neighbours.

Your belongings

Parking is free and on our own grounds, but vehicles and their contents are left at your own risk. Please keep valuables with you or ask us about storing them. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged during your stay, except where the loss is caused by our own negligence.

Things outside our control

Nuwara Eliya's weather, road conditions and utility supply can all interrupt a stay. Where something genuinely outside our control prevents us from hosting you, we will tell you as soon as we can and work out a fair resolution with you, but we are not liable for consequential costs such as travel arrangements made elsewhere.

Nearby attractions

We mention places to visit around Nuwara Eliya as a courtesy. We do not run them, and travel times we quote are rough estimates that depend on traffic and weather.

This website

We keep the content, photographs and rates on this site as accurate as we reasonably can, but we do not guarantee that everything is complete or current at every moment. The text, photographs and design belong to us or our licensors, except for the nearby-attraction photographs, which are used under the licences credited on the Experience page. Please do not reuse our material without asking.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page when you send your enquiry is the one that applies to it, along with the "last updated" date shown above.
